The Climate Change in Me teaching material is part of Henna Laininen’s doctoral thesis for the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki. The production of the teaching material has received financial support from the Tiina and Antti Herlin Foundation, the Finnish Cultural Foundation and the Central Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment.
The Opettajana ympäristökriisin keskellä – taide muutosvoimana ja voimavarana (“Facing the environmental crisis as a teacher – art as a transformative force and a resource”) seminar for educators in 2022, organized with the financial support of the Central Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment, offered an opportunity to develop the teaching material. The seminar was organized by the Sanataideyhdistys Yöstäjä ry creative writing association in cooperation with the City of Tampere cultural education programme Art Arc and Nature House Villa Elfvik. The seminar teachers were Henna Laininen, Anna Lehtonen, Maarit Myllynen, Heli Mäkinen, Nella Turkki, and Henrika Ylirisku.
